Summer house repairs

Our house was in need of some major exterior repairs. So, we took advantage of the poor economy and relatively cheap labor and had our house painted, reroofed with a metal roof, the chimney resided with a corrugated metal, and a few walls resided with hardiplank. Since we did not change the house color, the biggest change was the roof. We replaced our highly flamible wood shingles with a non-flamible metal roof. It makes us feel so much better to come home at night.

The reunion party
The boys of the Kappa Sigma fraternity decided to have a reunion this summer in Bozeman. They had a great turn out, and it was so fun to catch up with old friends and meet spouses and children. One family even flew to Bozeman from England. After an eventful drive to Bozeman, which included camping at Craters of the moon, hiking through lava tunnels, and a private Blue Angels air show, we arrived in Bozman a little ahead of the rest. The first couple of days were spent visiting with Mat's family and hiking the foothills around Bozeman with Mat's dad and the boys. The rest of the trip Mat and I got to visit and play while his dad, aunt, and Grandma hung out with the boys. Caulder and Kessler had a great time playing on many local playgrounds, and tending to the Garden and chickens, while Mat and I had a fun dinner with the reunion crowd at the Poorhouse, rode bikes around town, and attended a BBQ at the fraternity house.   Unfortunately, we seem to have misplaced most of the photos from this trip.
